Opalescence Tooth Whitening System

Your Smile

It’s one of your most valuable assets. It says more about you than the kind of car you drive, the kind of clothes you wear, or the hairstyle that will go out next season. Your smile is never outdated. That’s why it’s important that you take care of it. Give it the best care to preserve it for years to come.

It is our job to make sure that your dental needs are being met. Lately, we have received many questions about teeth whitening products available over-the-counter. While many of these systems are harmless, they also will not whiten as well as the professional versions available through our office, and often times leave many patients disappointed with the outcome.

It is our goal to educate you on the differences between the products you see in the grocery store and the professional whitening that we offer. We want you to be able to make an informed decision on your way to the brighter smile you’ve always wanted.

Monitored Whitening

An exam and diagnosis should always be performed prior to whitening your teeth. It’s important for you to be educated with the whitening process.

Dental restorations, such as crowns, fillings, etc., will not bleach. Whitening without dentist monitoring can cause a mismatch and may result in the need for expensive restoration replacement. Ideally, whitening should be performed prior to other esthetic dental procedures. Your dentist will then match your new restoration to your lighter shade.

Also, teeth with defective restorations or decay should be addressed prior to whitening. Whitening agents on an unhealthy tooth can lead to severe discomfort. Whitening may cause sensitivity especially for patients who already have sensitive teeth. We can monitor and provide the appropriate treatment should this occur.

Consistent Whitening

Occasionally, too much whitening can cause teeth to become translucent, causing the teeth to appear darker. This can also cause metal fillings to show through more. We can help to ensure that you don’t over whiten and that you achieve the smile you want.

Customized Care

This professional system is designed to fit your schedule. You have the choice of whitening during the day or overnight, whatever works best for you. Over-the-counter products will only whiten for short periods of time. We offer products that will remain active up to 10 hours and will whiten teeth much faster than store-bought systems. We also create a custom fabricated tray made just for you. This lessens the likelihood of sensitivity and allows for more uniform whitening.

Opalescence Go

Opalescence Go is the perfect option for patients who are looking for convenient, ready-to-go whitening. A professional whitening gel delivered in prefilled, disposable trays, Opalescence Go features the enhanced UltraFit tray and can deliver dramatic results in as little as 15 minutes per day.

Customer Satisfaction

Whitening your teeth is irreversible. When hair is bleached, it can easily be dyed or at least grow out to the original color within a few months. This is not the case with teeth.

Your satisfaction is the top priority of our office. It is important to us that you’re happy with your smile. We have the means to ensure that you get the fastest, safest, and most powerful whitening available. We have had remarkably high results (90-95% success rate) and our goal is to make sure you are completely satisfied.
